Retain The Stand Up Lawyer
Have you or someone you know been the victim of a humorless comedy show, a painfully dull corporate event, or seen a wedding ruined by a droning wedding DJ?
Then you may be entitled to jubilation! And the Stand Up Lawyer is ready to assist you in all your comedy and writing needs for reasonable compensation! Also available for remote shows.
Since 2012, Jordan has performed at a variety of comedy clubs across the country, including the La Jolla Comedy Store and the Comedy Palace in Southern California, the Gotham Comedy Club in NYC, and the Loony Bin in Oklahoma City. He has performed internationally at Nacho Daddy’s in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and The Big Ben in Stockholm, Sweden. Jordan has also performed for private events as well, such as Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, fundraisers, even once appearing at a board game convention in Nebraska.
After a show in San Diego, an audience member came up and said: “I have never heard anyone do the type of comedy you do, and I really appreciate what you do.” And we can assure you that you’ve never heard a comic like the Stand Up Lawyer.
Want to learn how to be a performer yourself? No problem! After years of advising clients of their legal rights, Jordan applies those same principles of zealous representation to advise you on your comedy aspirations. Whether you’re new to stand up comedy or just need some help polishing your set, toast, or roast; the Stand Up Lawyer can help!
Need some writing done? With a B.A. in English Literature and a J.D., Jordan is a prolific writer, researcher, and content creator. Jordan is available for your copywriting needs: including freelance writing of articles and features, scripts for YouTube videos, and general research. Jordan can write about both serious and humorous subject matters.
Here is an example of one of my YouTube scripts that have been adapted to the screen. The following video The Greatest Defense of All Time: Clement Vallandigham appears on the popular YouTube Channel The Legal Eagle.
The Most Frivolous Lawsuits Ever
Lawsuits That Weren’t Actually Ridiculous
Need help with your political campaign? Jordan is a political animal: having worked his way up from a field organizer knocking on doors in Iowa to running a congressional primary campaign in Nevada. Jordan has experience keeping social media pages full of content and preparing opposition/candidate self-examination research. In 2020, Jordan was a co-producer for the political fundraiser Laugh Across America–which raised $10,000. If your candidate is blue, Jordan can work for you!
Need legal advice? Well, the Stand Up Lawyer still does the “Lawyer” part too! After graduating from Tulane Law School with honors, Jordan spent much of the 2010s working as a litigation attorney. During that time, Jordan specialized primarily in real estate law (such as boundary disputes between neighbors, landlord/tenant actions, and anti-foreclosure actions). As retained counsel under title insurance policies, Jordan also handed direct actions on behalf of insurers and insureds. Jordan also has experience with a variety of legal subjects, such as estate planning, drafting and reviewing contracts, and advising clients on bringing their own Small Claims Courts actions. Though no longer working full-time with any law firm or directly litigating cases, Jordan maintains an active law license, and he is admitted to practice law in the state of California and the District of Columbia. Jordan is available to dispense legal advice and perform short-term research and writing projects.
Don’t need anything drafted but you just wanted to get clarity on a legal issue? Well, The Stand Up Lawyer may be right for your needs! With One Quick Question, we can give you a swift answer to your legal inquiry at a reasonable rate.
